In Celebration of Earth Day, Lacey Value Village invited us to show off the Leaf at their store, to demonstrate the importance of renewable resources.    Thanks for letting us be a part of this wonderful celebration!

I wanted to thank you very much for letting us display the Leaf at our store location in Lacey in recognition of Earth Day. We had a nice booth set up in front of the store for taking donations and sharing information about our Value Village’s commitment to reusing and recycling. It was a nice compliment to our festivities to have the electric Nissan Leaf parked on the sidewalk as an attraction and conversation piece. Many customers and passerby’s stopped to read about the vehicle’s attributes and to talk about it. I also had the privilege of driving the car and it is a pleasure to operate; lots of great amenities to help justify the price and value of the car- and it must be the quietest car on the planet! Colton from the Olympia Bruce Titus was a pleasure to work with, delivering the car on Saturday morning.

Operation Puppy Drop

Operation Puppy Drop finds a home at Tacoma Subaru. This sweet pup has been learning his manners Tacoma Subaru received an email from a local Guide Dog training club asking if it would be possible to use our facility as puppy drop point.  We of course said yes!, you had us at puppies.  What do you need. The Guide Dogs for the Blind organization (we will explain more about what they do in a moment), brings a van full of puppies up to Washington almost every month and they stop in Tacoma, as a good central point.  Up until now, they usually meet in a random parking lot like Walmart or the Tacoma mall.  This can be a little stressful and chaotic, and they were looking for a better alternative, and thought about Tacoma Subaru since Subaru is well known for their love of animals.  No problem, we are happy to help.  So since October (2017) we have been offering up our facility for them to make their puppy drop, we affectionately call it Operation Pu...

Towing Part 1: Picking Your Tow Vehicle

The pandameic has created a booming industry - RV sales/outdoor motorsports. Between Covid guidelines, regulations, travel restriction, social distancing, state lockdowns and an in general a strong desire to not spread or get this virus, people are heading to the outdoors en mass. While all of our locations will generally get inquiries about towing capacity, especially with brands like Nissan and Ford that have trucks, occassionally, we are now seeing a huge rise in questions regarding towing. Why? Well, the short answer is people are looking to the RV life to get away from the house, and create memories with their family. Why RV's? Well, a night at a state park for a family of 4 is a lot less expensive than travel + hotel+ food. It is also a little safer (Covid thinking), you are self contained with your family bubble.
