Woofstock 2015

This weekend we had the pleasure of participating in Woofstock 2015.  This was Tacoma Subaru's 2nd year being involved in this event, and it was every bit as satisfying as the first year.

It was a beautiful day at Todd field at University of Puget sound, where Dugan Foundation and Pawsitive Alliance presented the 8th annual Woofstock.

There were 27 rescues and shelters that brought over 220 animal to find loving homes.  There were cats, kittens, dogs, bunnies, and even reptiles!

The unofficial number of adoptions is 105!  The organizers expect that number to climb as they reconcile records, and those adoptions that required a little more time, such as home visits or vet checks are counted.

There were plenty of vendors and information booths on hand, and we were serenaded through the event by local musical talent that volunteered their time and talent to make this the best event ever.

Musical talent in attendance:

Jeff Ross & Jessica Abbott
Xolie Morra
Dustin Lafferty
John Boyle
Gina Belliveau

A special thanks to the coordinating efforts of David Sobie, with assistance of Glen Nakamichi, for sound production.

Event organizers want to make special thanks to their title sponsor Positive Approach Doggy Dog Training as represented by JeriLynn Vosburgh, and brining up dogs for adoption onstage throughout the day.  A special thank to Rainier Agility Team for their wonderful agility performances.

Of course, without the over 50 volunteers, this event could not be possible!  Thank you.

Save the date!  August 6, 2016 for the 9th Annual Woofstock!

We had the privilege of being in the booth next to Dogs On Deployment.  If you have not heard of this organization, we recommend you visit their website at www.dogsondeployment.org.  This all volunteer organization helps deployed soldiers find reliable loving foster homes for their pets while they are deployed.  What a wonderful and much needed service!

The Woofstock event is fun and family friendly, we had the opportunity to meet some wonderful new friends, of all shapes and varieties.  The one thing we all had in common was our love of fur babies.  It was an emotional experience to stand near the New Family tent while they got their picture taken, or to walk by one of the meet and greet areas as human and animal got to know each other.
Whether you are in a place in your life to add to your fur family, or just want to help these homeless pets find a new home, please visit and learn more about organizations such as the Dugan Foundation and Pawsitive Alliance, to find out how you can help.

Here are some photos from the day.  The Tacoma Subaru booth was particularly popular because we had bubbles!  Lots and lots of bubbles.

  1. Considering the professional side, event management is a glamorous and exciting profession that requires a lot of hard work and enthusiasm. But only a few real places like seattle convention center offer diplomas in event management and organizational skills.

  2. I would prescribe utilizing Wordpress for a blog, it’s commonsense and does the entire expert coding for you, and it makes life much less complex. And additionally you can Google Wordpress topics and you can transfer any topic you get a kick out of the chance to your site to give it an alternate look.
