Tacoma Subaru Welcomes New Owners

In February the Bruce Titus Automotive Group introduced the New Owner's Clinic at all of our locations.

We recognize that the buying experience is exciting, but let's face it, there is a lot of information to process.  Perhaps you spent months researching cars...that's a lot of information.  Then you test drove several brands, then you decided on the brand, and now you have to pick a car.  That's a lot of information.  Then you go to the dealer, and they give you even more information.  Then you test drive.  Then you talk numbers.  Then there is financing options.  Through all of that there is excitement.  More for some than others.  Often the car buying process is a very pragmatic necessary task, and for others it is like opening presents on Christmas.  But for everyone....there is a LOT of information.

So we found that customers were often stopping by 30/60/90 days after their purchase with questions.  It usually starts of with, "I know my sales person mentioned/showed me" or "I've read the manual and I'm confused" or something along that line.  Despite a very thorough delivery process, it is a lot of information.  In addition, in today's technological age, there is so much information that it is overwhelming, or not accurate, and it is hard to tell.  We also found that when we followed up with customers regarding their vehicle, they would sometimes say something along the line about how they weren't happy with their vehicle.  Well, that's not what we want to hear.  But when we would press for why, it would be something simply, like the rear latch doesn't open easily, or no matter what they do they can't get their phone to sync, or they thought it had this feature.  All of which are common issues, and easily addressed with a little more time.  But they feel they have no one to turn to.  This is not the case at Tacoma Subaru or any Bruce Titus Automotive location.  You Can Count on us to be here whenever you need us.

So, we decided to start holding a New Owner's Clinic every few months at each store location and invite everyone who purchased a new vehicle to come back in for an hour or so, so we could chat about those most frequently asked questions.  We are so glad we did!

On June 21, we held Tacoma Subaru's 2nd New Owner's Clinic, and the response was amazing.  Customers were so excited to come back, and see that they are not the only one's with questions.  The entire Tacoma Subaru team was on hand to help answer questions.

After a short presentation by Randy Fort the Tacoma Subaru Service Manager, and a wonderfully informative and comfortably brief clinic by Cory Wick, lead Service Advisor, a majority of our new owner's had their questions answered.  However, there were a few that needed more.  Perfect, that is why we are here!  After the formal presentation everyone was given the opportunity to tour the shop, talk directly, one on one, with our Car Guides.



Questions ranged from Warranty coverage questions, to Blue Tooth and phone sync issues. Our Car Guide team was on hand, whether it was the General Sales Manger or the Shop Forman we got everyone taken care of.

The best part of the whole event was the feeling of a gathering of friends and not some chore on Wednesday night.  There was food and laughter, and of course a free gift for everyone who attended.
