Port Orchard Ford Benefit Concert - Success

Port Orchard Ford put on a benefit concert for the Kitsap Humane Society on Sunday, May 27.  Their goal was to raise a little money and awareness for the folks at the Kitsap Humane Society, and it worked! 

The early morning brought torrential down pours that, despite tents and overhangs, almost caused the electrocution of a couple of volunteers and caused  one of the bands amps to blow.  Considering that over 100 people showed up, we can only imagine how many more would have been on hand, if they hadn't looked out the window first thing to see pouring rain.

No worries, fun was had by all.  The Port Orchard Ford team had worked tirelessly the day before getting the store ready for a concert.  If you think about it, this is quite a feat.  In true fashion the team shined and despite the weather got everything set up, including stage and sound.

We owe a very special thanks to the Cruisin Stangs Club for their support and bringing out all of their cars, it was the perfect window dressing for such a wonderful event. 


With the help of cash donations on hand and the Perfect Cause Campaign (just for May), the help of the wonderful Musicians:  Born to Be Wild, Hannah Michelle Weeks and Sin Circus, who donated proceeds from Merchandise sales, we helped raise over $1300 for the Kitsap Humane Society!!!!!

    The company has been doing an impressive job by conducting the events over the years. This will be another memorable day for the company with the fundraising event. I don't think there are many companies who are doing similar welfare activities for the public.jogos friv online

Operation Shore Patrol 2017

pnw4wda.org pnw4wda.org On the third weekend every September the small coastal town of Grayland is invaded by Jeep clubs.  Actually they are invaded by Jeep clubs and bargain hunters, as this weekend is also their 30 miles of Junk sale weekend, but that is not what this is about.  Why you may ask.  Operation Shore Patrol ! Operation Shore Patrol was founded in 1971 by the Pacific Northwest Four Wheel Drive Association ( PNW4WDA ) and supported by Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission, Dept. of Ecology and The Ocean Conservancy, Operation Shore Patrol is an annual clean up of Washington State Coastline beaches.  Through continued support of local regional and national organization this initiative has been able to continually rid our beaches of litter and debris that accumulates from public use, illegal dumping and from the Pacific Ocean. Operation Puppy Drop

Operation Puppy Drop finds a home at Tacoma Subaru. This sweet pup has been learning his manners Tacoma Subaru received an email from a local Guide Dog training club asking if it would be possible to use our facility as puppy drop point.  We of course said yes!, you had us at puppies.  What do you need. The Guide Dogs for the Blind organization (we will explain more about what they do in a moment), brings a van full of puppies up to Washington almost every month and they stop in Tacoma, as a good central point.  Up until now, they usually meet in a random parking lot like Walmart or the Tacoma mall.  This can be a little stressful and chaotic, and they were looking for a better alternative, and thought about Tacoma Subaru since Subaru is well known for their love of animals.  No problem, we are happy to help.  So since October (2017) we have been offering up our facility for them to make their puppy drop, we affectionately call it Operation Puppy Drop.  Since October we h
