Summer was busy at Bruce Titus Automotive Group

Summer was busy at the Bruce Titus Automotive Group

The summer is busy for everyone and the crew at Bruce Titus Automotive Group were busier than ever this year with events.  We have had the privilege of hanging out with some of the most incredible people and partnering, through sponsorship and event participation, to help many organizations make their events a positive experience for their community.

Below are just some of the Highlights from our summer shenanigans:

June 15:  Jeep Jam
Participants had the opportunity to learn some wonderful off-roading technique and skills from members of the County Line Off Roaders, and the Pacific NW 4WD Association in the relative safety, at least more controlled, environment of the Bruce Titus Olympia Jeep lot.  Obstacles such as the Teeter-totter, the Rock crawl and the Jack n Jill Course were available to practice on.  A very successful raffle was held to raise money for the Future Four Wheelers of the PNW4WDA.

June 21 and June 22:
SIP: Keep Kids Safe Event

We invited anyone who wanted to get their child fingerprinted to our Olympia location in the Automall.  The goal of this event was to offer an opportunity for parents and kids alike to learn some valuable information regarding safety in a non-threatening environment.  The national SIP team was on hand to fingerprint and provide identity kits to families in case a parent's worst nightmare is realized.  Their child is missing.  The kit provides information than can be given to law enforcement immediately upon their arrival so that precious time is not lost.  In addition, we had a wonderful turn out of vendors and local services on hand.  The Sheriff's department was on hand to provide information and retina scans, as well as the fire department and local police agencies.  Also on hand were the Boys and Girls Club of Thurston County, Thurston County Parks Department, Alley Oop Gymnastics Center and many other.  A highlight of the days were demonstrations by World Martial Arts from Olympia.  This incredible group of people put on free demonstrations all day demonstrating basic self defense techniques for all ages.

July 12-14th
KeyFest
Keyfest is a wonderful carnival/fair put on by the Key Peninsula in the Gig Harbor/Purdy area.  With vendors, music, food and a carnival it was an wonderful time for all who attended.  Key Fest was sponsored, in part, by Bruce Titus Port Orchard Ford.

July 28
Big NW Subaru Meet
The Tacoma Subaru Parts department's online presence, Subaruparts.com was a key sponsor for the Big NW Subaru Meet held at the Bremerton Motorsports park.  What a day that was!  Considering it was July, we all anticipated nice weather.  Everyone was there in shorts and t-shirts, expecting the famous NW Marine Layer to burn off any moment.  Any moment didn't happen until we were packed up and heading home around 4pm.  It was chilly!!  This is a wonderful event for the local Subaru enthusiast and a great opportunity to mingle with 1000's of other Subie lovers, swap stories, ideas, check out other cars, and of course, test their mettle on the race track.

August 17
Old Timer's Day
Old Timer's Day took us back out to the KPN for their annual Old Timer's Day and Logging show.  This event has been going on for close to 20 years, and the people from all over the area come to enjoy great vendors and a wonderful logging display by local loggers.  We were honored to participate in such a tradition.  The Ford F-150 Crew Cab on display was a HUGE hit too!

In addition to these events we were proud sponsors of many community golf tournaments, car shows and other community involved events.

Cruz Car Show - Port Orchard
Mustangs on the Water - Port Orchard
Kitsap County Fair
Curtis HS Hoopsters Golf Tournament
Pacific NW Open Tennis Tournament
Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Center Annual Tournament & Fundraiser
Tacoma Yacht Club annual Classic Car show
Bellarmine Boosters Fundraising Tournament
Port Orchard Community BBQ
South Kitsap Chamber Tournament
Gig Harbor Chamber Tournament

UWT Fairway to the US Open Tournament at Chambers Bay

In today's busy world it is easy to forget or lose sight of the community around us.  We encourage you to get out there and participate in some of these wonderful events being held in your own back yard.  Often they are free, and it is a wonderful chance to connect to the people around you.  We hope to see you at one of the many upcoming events.
